This is a plan that is implemented after a disaster has damaged or destroyed all or part of a business’s resources.  Resources affected can include IT equipment and hardware, data records, and the physical operating facility. A DRP is designed to allow the business to resume normal operations and computing capabilities as quickly as possible. Key features of any plan include having full system backups routinely run and archived at a location not impacted by the disaster.
